The art of leaving a little room.

A trip needs a shape. It doesn't need to account for every minute.

Start with one thing you really want to do. Give it the part of the day when you can enjoy it, rather than the gap between two other plans. Then leave the edges open.

A blank space in an itinerary is not a missed opportunity. It is room for lunch to run long, for a street to catch your eye, or simply to sit somewhere and watch a place carry on around you.

Give your day a beginning, not a deadline for every moment. Before committing to a plan, check the official opening hours, access requirements and time needed to travel between places. Leaving room is a choice, not a reason to leave practical details unchecked.
